In our Garden Shop you can view this year's plant selection and pre-order or just Click and Collect, from our Limerick City shop in Catherine Street, or from the nursery in Abbeyfeale.
Grown here in the West Limerick hills, our plants have proved to be stalwarts of the garden, and are carefully chosen to work in harmony with each other in the mixed border. They are all suitable to be grown in generous containers too, just make sure you feed them generously and water well during dry or windy spells of weather. It was very hard to choose this year's selection with so many possibilities given our specific micro-climate, which makes for resilient, hardy plants and as one of our customers said, a somewhat lusty habit!
This year we will be growing a select number of specimen sized versions of this season's selection, which we will be showing at various events around the region. We will also have a collection of Babylon Dahlia for your consideration, these plants have flowers the size of a dinner plate and are great as cut flowers for the home.
Growing a combination of these beautiful plants in your green space will ensure your spot takes on a inspired, subtly toned and verdant feel, come rain or shine.
At the events listed on our Summer Diary page, we will be showing you how to work with home grown flowers and foliage with more traditional garden plants to create a stunning and seasonal floral display.
Please check out our Summer Events Diary, and follow us on Twitter to be kept up to date with information regarding our attendance at various local events in the County, hot off the potting bench news on the plants and other desirable objects we will be offering.
We’re passionate about growing beautiful plants and sharing our selection of interesting garden and home products.

In late 2012, we moved kit and kaboodle to County Limerick, a few miles west of Abbeyfeale, from Surrey in the UK. Having both worked in the South East in professional horticulture, for more than 15 years, we had an idea that we might pool all of our green experience into one resource, and set about buying an old worm farm and turning it into a plant nursery in Templeglantine.
Mark Lewis is an experienced Retail Horticulture Manager and Print Photographer with extensive plant knowledge and has worked for one of the UK's best known garden chains, Squires, for over 10 years. Mark now runs the Nursery at the farm, and is happy to meet and talk to any visitors who wish to come and buy plants, photograph them for projects or just have a cup of tea and a welcome biscuit diversion with like minded enthusiasts.
Tara Maloney has worked in various niche roles in Retail Horticulture and Garden Management for over 10 years, after a trip to the Far East where she decided on a career change from working in Music PR and Financial Services. Starting out at Squires, Tara managed some of the South East's best Planterias, some with 10m plus turnovers, and worked as a Regional Horticulture Manager for Wyevale.
In 2009, she designed and built a garden for the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show, winning a Silver-Gilt Medal for 'The Dinosaur Den'. Tara studied Garden Design and RHS qualifications, and worked for various private homes in the central London area as a gardener, florist, and sometimes, a housekeeper. Tara also worked for the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, in Licensing and Product Development and as a plant buyer, sourcing plants for the gardens and shop, as well as providing an opportunity for engagement between the public and the gardeners at Kew.
Prior to moving to Ireland, Tara took on a year's consultancy with the staff of the aspirational
Petersham Nurseries, in Richmond, Surrey. Working closely with Lara Boglione, Managing Director and
Lucy Boyd, Culinary Director, Tara managed the team through a period of change at the Nursery -
overhauling and re-organising the plant shop's business systems, horticulture practices and
renovating and co-ordinating the re-design and opening of the last derelict Victorian Glasshouse into a
fully flexible on site public arena for events, meetings as well as an aspirational indoor retail space.
During the last few years, we have worked hard on our farm here in Limerick, beginning a journey for ourselves with our nursery and collection of plants. This year we are in full fettle and are working to set up our outdoor Cut Your Own Flower beds, and hope to be in some sort of running order by the end of July 2015. In the meantime, we have our permanent market stall at Lucky Lane, 9a Catherine Street, Limerick City.
In the heart of the Cafe and Fashion Quarter, we offer a selection of houseplants, outdoor plants as well as in season cut flowers and planted gifts. We also run regular workshops here and on our farm.
